• last Week for 12 new A licences. It was stated by Mr. Norman Carless, on behalf
• of the _company, that if the licences were granted the vehicles would be deleted
from the present licence held by the company, which covers 13 vehicles.

" I have to be satisfied that there is a live business in respect of each of the .• vehicles and each of the companies which . is being formed to manage it. "I think it would be safer to make a quick check on the records of the vehicles
for one month—any month the company wishes to choose."' He added that if the inspection as satisfactory in respect of
the materials carried and their destinations, there would be no need for another public inquiry and the matter could be speedily settled. A director of Oldbury Transport and each of the 12 new companies, Mr. Roy
Neil Richardson, said the main reason
for the measures being taken was previous -driver trouble. There was also some precaution being taken against any future . political interference in the haulage industry, but that was a minor consideration. . Autoglen Transport Ltd., Clancarrier Transport Ltd., Clanlode Transport Ltd.,
