By far the largest application from this week's " As and Ds" is published in the South Eastern area' in the form of a contract A to A licence switch. C. W. and D. R. Thorp Ltd., of Canterbury, seeks a new A licence authorizing 13 artics. and two platform vehicles with the user "Mainly agricultural produce, Great Britain ". If granted the company proposes to surrender the same vehicles which have been oporating under contract with Home Grown Fruits Ltd.
An Yorkshire, Leeds haulier Castle Brothers Transport (Leeds) Ltd. seeks .a . new B licence specifying 10 vehicles on which it wishes to carry "goods " for
two local customers " as required ".: This, too, is a contract licence transfer.
An application to add eight artics totalling 88 tons unladen is listed in the North Western publication. Sutton and Son (St. Helens) Ltd. asks to vary its Et licence by the addition of these vehicles. Shown as " tanker/platform" vehicles, this application represents a straight addition to the licence.
