Dr. F. A. L. Winternitz has joined Associated Engineering Ltd. in the newly created post of group chief engineer. Mr. C. D. Carmichael .continues as chief engineer of the two diesel and petrol engine component divisions. Dr. Winternitz, Who was educated and trained in Switzerland, was formerly technical director of Sigmund Pulsometer Pumps Ltd. and at one time head of the fluid mechanics division of the National Engineering Laboratory.
