AusTIN trucks are playing a great part in this enterprise. Kinnear Moodie & Co. Ltd. are the Civil Engineering Contractors working, day and night, on the project. The Managing Director of the Company has this to say about their Austin Fleet : "If ever there was a test of a vehicle's toughness it is this job being tackled now. For instance, 53,000 tons of concrete segments, which line this tunnel, are being brought from Ashford, .Middlesex, xl the working shafts in places Detween Hampron and Regents Park. The round trip varies between s6 and 36 miles — and through London traffic at peak congestion tours I One of our Austins has
already covered 65,000 mites on this job alone, sometimes making three round trips a day. It has shown itself as nippy in negotiating London's traffic as it is tough and dependable with such heavy loads on board. Every day our Austin fleet is kept busy—and not in London alone. The trucks carrypre-cast concrete, plant and prefabricated buildings to' all parts of Britain—with never a hitch or hold up. We buy all our Austins from Wimbledon Motor Works Limited. They are always willing to give advice and maintain an exceptional Austin se rvi ce."
