of its plant at Carr Hill, Doncaster, in June, Ford Motor Co. Ltd. is to spend about £100,000 on converting the former Doncaster Corporation trolley depot iri Greyfriars Road into a modern toolroom. When the factory closes, the 200 members of the toolroorn staff will move into the new works.
The plant closure will make about 1,000 workers redundant, but it is hoped that International Harvester Co. Ltd., having taken a lease of the factory, Will be able to employ most of these workers.
