Ma. C. E. DurcroN has been appointed chief civil engineer of the London Transport Executive, and MR. I'. S. PICK, chief electrical engineer. They will be responsible to Mn. A. H. GRAINGER, a member of the Executive. These appointments follow the retirement of MR. P. CRodm-JoqNsoN, chief engineer.

MR. N. F. MYERS, a managing director of the Esso Petroleum Co., Ltd., has resigned his position on the board and returned to the U.S.A. He came here in 1949 to assist in directing the construction of Fawley refinery and the training of 1,500 technicians employed there, MR. G. S. SUTCLIFFE has been appointed home sales director of Ferodo, Ltd., Mn. F. L, HARRAV has become export sales director and MR. S. C. CLIFFORD, works director. MT. Sutcliffe, a former sales manager of the company, has been works director since 1947. Mr. Harrap has been London sales manager and sales director. .
MR. W. D. ROBINSON, chairman, MR. E E. LUNDBERG and Mn. W. O. BRIGGS, JNR., have relinquished their directorships of Briggs Motor Bodies, Ltd., following the acquisition by the Ford Motor Co., Ltd., of a controlling interest in the concern from the Briggs Manufacturing Co., Detroit. SIR PATRICK HENNESSY, MR. J. M. A. SMITH, MR. C. TRACKER and MR. F. E. W. HAMMOND have been appointed directors of the company.
