QHIRE horses are transported to agricultural shows by Mr. C. Clark, of Maidenwell, Louth, Lines, in a new A.E.C. box with bodywork by Messrs G. C. Smith (Coachworks), Long Whatton, near Loughborough, Leics.
The vehicle has four rear-facing stalls with fully padded sides, breast bars and head pads. The centre partitions are removable to provide easy access for loading, and the space over the ca.b is used for carrying fodder, harness and so on. A groom's door on the near side enables the horses to be inspected without lowering the rear ramp.
The framing is of English oak and imported hardwood is used for the panelling. The close-boarded sides are varnished in their natural state.
