Mm.-GEN. G. N. RUSSELL, general manager and chairman of British Road Services' board of management, and a member of the British Transport Commission's Eastern Area Board, will deliver his presidential address to the Institute of Transport on October 13.

MR. E. S. WALKER, who is to become a director of Duple Motor Bodies (Northern), Ltd., when that company is formed, will cover Lancashire, Cheshire, North West England, the Northern Counties and Scotland, in conjunction with MR. E. W. PETTIT, who will also continue in his present territory. Duple have appointed MR. W. J. NEWEY as area sales manager responsible for Wales, the Midlands and the east coast, and MR. B. D. WITHAM IS to be area sales manager for South and West England, including London and the Home Counties.

MR. C. K. SritiNuER, managing director of the Power Petroleum Co., Ltd., retires on October 31 and' will be succeeded by MR. G. B. HOWARD-RICE who has, until recently, been establishment services manager of Shell-Mex and 'B.P., Ltd. Mr. Stringer became Power's managing director in 1954, after joining Shell-Mex,

Ltd., in 1925. Mr. Howard-Rice has been with the company for 31 years.
