TO TAKE maximum advantage of the motorway network Allied Industrial 'Services of Bradford has taken delivery of two new 16-ton-gross vehicles. The new vehicles are Leyland Clydesdales with aluminium bodies built by Lex Tillotsen (Burnley) Ltd. The bodies are 7.32m (24ft) long.
The body is divided into sections to cater for the multiple delivery journey. Unladen weight of each van is 5.165 tonnes and internal headroom is 1.98m (6ft 6in).
