A RANGE of seven different body styles for the milk distribution trade is now being marketed for the Leyland Sherpa by R. W. Osborne Ltd of Station Road, Saffron Walden, Essex.
Three of the styles are conversions of the sliding-door van version of the Sherpa and four are drop-on type bodies The range includes the Suffolk which is a drop-deck van conversion of the van which can accommodate 14 crates on a low-front deck, 10 on a raised rear deck, plus six crates below the rear deck. The Essex is a low-loader design which can carry a total of 44 crates in two layers.
The Sussex and Kent are both flat-deck conversions for the chassis cab, the only differ ence being the addition of a roof for the Sussex. The Devon and Dorset are both lowloader versions •of the chassis cab with the Devon being supplied with a roof and the Dorset being supplied without one.
The narrow width of the Sherpa makes it a good basis for a dairy vehicle, providing good access to the load.
