Concrete rafts designed to be laid over unprepared roads or tracks to provide easier going for trucks or plant are now marketed by Bell & Webster. The rafts are available in two sizes, lm by 2m (3.3ft x 6.6ft) or 2m x 2m (6.6ft x 6.6ft) and are supplied with lifting slots permitting laying by lorry-mounted cranes or similar equipment.
Made from concrete, the individual rafts may be laid in any order to provide the required surface, and at the end of the job they can be lifted and redeployed elsewhere. Marketed by : Bell & Webster, Belcon House, Essex Road, Hoddesden, Herts EN11 ODR,
