TRUCKPOL has warned operators with Daf FA45s to be particularly vigilant following a spate of thefts of these vehicles.
On 26 July an X-reg model was stolen from Horley in Surrey. This was followed by thefts of similar vehicles in Birmingham. Nottingham, Oxford and Southampton The last one stolen was found burned out in H urn, near Bournemouth airport.
DS Mark Hooper says: "All these trucks were taken from within the keeper's yard or parked outside. It may be that they are being stolen to order. If you own one, take extra precautions."
