-)ELEGATES representing some -.1 58,000 London bus workers decided ist Friday by a large majority to refer ) their branches the latest pay increase frered by London Transport.
The offer is that the pay of drivers rid conductors with at least two years' mvice should be raised by 13s. 6d. a 'eek, and that of road staff with less :rvice by 9s. 6d.
Maintenance workers have been ffered an extra 2d. an hour on the nderstanding that negotiations about lodifications of their incentive bonus :heme will follow.
The London busmen's negotiating )mmittee of the Transport and General forkers' Union have unanimously ;reed to recommend acceptance of the Ter.
The previous offer of 9s. 6d. was :jected by all except three garages.
