capacity has been ordered From Whessoe Ltd., to replace a stainless steel tanker.
The vessel is to be mounted on a Leyland Super Comet chassis and used to carry brewery finings. The inherent resistance to corrosion of the material from which the tank is constructed makes it particularly suitable for this application. Previously only the most expensive stainless steel alloys have been able to resist the corrosive elements present in the finings.
Stainless steel pipework, valves and manlids will be used and the vessel will discharge at pressures up to 25 p.s.i. The light weight of the tank will provide valuable increases in payload. It has been ordered by Saville's (1902) Ltd., of Salford, Lancs.
