HE Small Firms Employment ubsidy is to be extended by -iree months to March 31, D78.
Under this scheme small rms in Special Development seas of the North East, North ‘rest and parts of Wales can laim £20 a week for each xtra job they provide.
A firm qualifies for the subidy if it is an independent usiness and was employing ewer than 50 workers on March 29, 1977.
Payments are made for a period of up to 26 weeks for jobs over 35 hours a week and are halved if the job is for 21 hours or more but less than 35 hours a week.
No payments will be made for jobs which the Government already supports.
New businesses which started after March 29 and meet the conditions can claim the subsidy for all jobs.
