A N application by W. H. Malcolm -1 Ltd., of Johnstone, for a B-licence ariation to add six vehicles for road and kuilding lant and materials within 25 :tiles was adjourned by Mr. W. F. Quin, lie Scottish Licensing Authority, in ilasgow on Tuesday.
Mr. R. Mackenzie, for Malcolm, said lat the company operated 45 tippers, five rtics and three platform vehicles. Two chides were on short-term licences and armed part of the present application. 4r. Donald J. Malcolm, managing direcJr, said that the company hired sublantially and during the latter half of 'larch was hiring between 60 and 110 ppers per day. This did not always meet le company's customers' requirements nd between 10 and 30 further vehicles 'ere often needed but the company was nable to get them.
Mr. Quin asked Malcolm for a list of its principal customers and the money paid by these customers over the past two years. He said that there was a case for the objectors to answer and adjourned the ease.
