CPECIAL " reject' lists of transport L.) units for which no satisfactory offers were received in the first two lists, are to be published. These will not overlap List 4, which has already been prepared.
It was announced on Wednesday that all units without premises in List 1, for which there were no successful tenders, would be offered for sale again this month. Not all units with premises will be offered again, but a careful choice will be made in relation to the demands shown by the bids received on the first offer.
" Rejected " units from List 2 will be dealt with on similar lines in March.
The Commercial Motor was officially informed that no guidance could be offered to those who had tendered unsuccessfully in the past.
On Wednesday the statistics (published on page 4) of the disposal of units with premises in List 1, were revised. It was stated that tenders for 20 units (242 vehicles, including spares) had been accepted, 148 tenders (1,962 vehicles) rejected, and the case of one unit (14 vehicles) was outstanding. The Road Haulage Disposal Board sat until late on Tuesday to deal with outstanding cases.
