Fully automatic transmission is being incorporated on an ERF dual-purpose fire tender to be supplied to Liverpool. The gearbox will be an Allison fVIT40 with power take-off. A Rolls-Royce B81 straight-eight engine is being employed.
The rescue equipment takes the form of a Simon Snorkel 50ft hydraulic platform. Water tanks will be fitted at the same time as the HCB-Angus bodywork.
