R Brown, VI" Westhall Garage, Gfenearse, applied for a B licence and failed for a second time to appear in support of the application, Mr. A. Robertson, Scottish Deputy Licensing Authority, described their conduct as "reprehensible." He said that Messrs. Brown had twice put the objectors to the trouble and expense of appearing and had given no notice, of withdrawal. There were 12 objectors, and their solicitor said that Messrs. Brown's business had been advertised for sale Mr. Robertson said that he would send an inspector to investigate it ENGINEERS FORM GUILD
THE Engineers' Guild has been formed to promote the interests of engineers and their relationship with the community. It does not duplicate any of the functions of the existing institutions, but will supplement them and will co-operate with those bodies
The Guild is seeking registration under the Companies Act, which is the form of incorporation adopted by the British Medical Association and many other professional organizations. TRAILER BEHIND TAXICAB
AT Dundee, last week. Mr A. Robertson, Scottish Deputy Licensing Authority, authorized a Forfar taxicab operator to use a trailer behind a taxicab to carry, goods accompanied by a passenger.
