Iwould like to hear from any drivers who, within the last two years, have been prosecuted or paid a fixed penalty fine for failing to comply with the traffic sign showing a height resn-iction at the Blackwall Tunnel southern approach, London. And who, as I was, were victims of the electronic overheight detector (which directs over-height vehicles to divert) being switched off at the time it was most required—in my case at 07:15hrs.
In the event I am refused an out-of-time appeal. I am currently preparing a case accusing the Traffic Division of the Metropolitan Police and the Superintendent of the Blackwall Tunnel of conspiring to act as agent provocateur to ensnare otherwise law-abiding commercial road users.
If I could be supplied with times and dates of similar incidents to give support to my appealkase it would, should I be successful, warrant a review of any prior or subsequent prosecutions that may have been brought about concerning this arranged 'offence'.
Please contact 0181-519 4387 (Answerphone) leaving your name and phone number and the most convenient time to call you back, and I will.
