supply Ford Motor's 27 manufacturing plants in the UK with the equipment manufactured by its suppliers throughout the South-West.
Ford planned the 'ex works' scheme to streamline operations, reduce the number of vehicles handled by its plants and cut back on long term storage.
Five hauliers have been appointed across the country to coordinate the collection of equipment from suppliers' factories to be delivered in concentrated lorry loads to Ford plants.
Swift's Stroud depot will operate the contract.
