LOW LOADING heights, for maximum load height within the European 4m (13.1ft) overall height limit, is a feature of a new range of drop-deck, trombone (extendable) trailers from York Trailer Co Ltd.
Tandem and tri-axle models are included in the range and platform heights, over the suspension centres, are quoted at 1.1m (421n) and 1.0m (41in) respectively.
Tandem-axle trailers are plated to 26.4 tonnes (26 tons) gtw, have an unladen weight of 7.6 tonnes (7.5 tons) and have overall length settings of 11.9m (39ft), 14m (46ft), and 16.1m (53ft).
Tr-axle models weigh 8.4 tonnes (8.3 tons) unladen and open to a maximum length of 16.6m (54.5ft). When fully closed, trailer length is 13.6m (44.5ft) and there is a 14.8m (48.5ft) intermediate length setting. Models have Yorkbuilt 10-ton axles, underslung multi-leaf suspension and two-speed landing gear.
