eaders may by now have seen Supply and Demand, a new Lynda La Plante drama shown on Wednesday 5 February, starring Freddie Starr as, gulp, "a ruthless villain involved in drug running". They won't have known that behind the scenes Kettering Scania dealer, Derek Jones Commercials, played a supporting role by providing a pair of 38-tonne Scania 4-Series wagons to create a truckstop scene. They actually belonged to two of its customers, Corby Chilled Distribution and Carr Brothers. The operators were apparently happy to lend their new trucks on the understanding that the comedian didn't attempt to eat them.
