The Making of a Karrier Lorry Filmed.
. The value of the film as a pal:ilia medium has long .eince, been recognised, and it is therefore very interesting to learn that the.making a a Karrier commercial vehicle has been einematographed. The film commences with, a view of the rough stores and advances gradually by stages until the finished vehicle is to be seen. Of course, the speed with -which one stage of manufacture follows another is exaggerated, and is more than enough to make the British_ workman yawn with fatigue upon seeing the marvellously rapid movements of the mechanics, on the screen. When the picture was shown at Huddersfield two men who were watching it thought it was an illustration. of Americanmass production methods until they .recognized a mate in,the picture.
The Karrier Elm is touring the country; and Clayton and Co. (Huddersfield), Ltd. Karrier Works, Huddersfield, will dispIN bills on application. The Ranier film is not shown as an advertisement item but is joined up with.the other pictures and forme part of the programme. The idea displays commendable publicity enterprise.
