• The fifth International Container Services and Equipment Exposition takes place at the International Amphitheatre, Chicago, from April 14-17.
Over 100 exhibits in 12 categories will be on view, ircluding container manufacturing, materials handling equipment, ports, railroads and shipping services. Also many industries allied to the containerization field will be represented.
A symposium is to be held in conjunction with the exposition. The title is "Labour, Government, the Carrier and /he User discuss the container" and its objective is said to be "to open new avenues to more co-operative relations between labour and management away from the pressures of the bargaining table". The organizers claim that this symposium is the first to bring together all four parties concerned_ Chairman of the symposium will be George P. Schultz, United States Secretary of Labour.
