• Dennis Eagle has supplied KLM with six chassis and tractors for aircraft refuelling at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. Two Elite 6x2 chassis have
been fitted with tanker bodies by Belgian bodybuilder LAG; four Elite tractors—three 6x2s and a 6x4—will haul tanker semi-trailers with a capacity of
up to 77,000 litres. Easy access and corrosion resistance are cited as the reasons for choosing the stainless steel-cabbed Dennis vehicles.
Strengthened chassis components and Hendrickson suspension are designed to cope with rear bogie loads of up to 35 tonnes.
The 6x2s have 210hp Perkins Phaser engines; the 6x4 uses a 250hp Perkins Peregrine. They are all fitted with Allison's World Series automatic gearbox and Romatic speed limiters.
