Mr. Hollister's letter of August 2, I noted, urged you ta press the matter with the Ministry of Transport. While all this may be helpful, the action which is most likely to bring results is for everyone interested (as a result of a poll carried out by another journal, 97 per cent of the motoring public think Mr. Marples should go!) to write to their individual Members of Parliament demanding immediate action.
There is only one language any political party understands, and -that is the threat of losing a large number of votes—this is the surest method of pressing such a threat.
