There are two models, which are ipplied with mandrels to make them iitable for the full range of car and )mmercial vehicle tyre sizes. Model )0;4A is suitable for tyre sections of om 4.50 to 9.50and 12-in. to 16-in. an.. Model 400-A is suitable for tyre ctions of from 7,00 to 14.00 and up to
rims.
The Universal vulcanizers are cometely automatic in operation, and heat applied through the mandrel, which fitted inside the cover, and also through a heat pad on the outside of the cover.
Time required to complete the cure of a tyre on the smaller machine is said to be 30 min. and on the larger, 70 min. Electric consumption of the two units is 615 watts and 1,500 watts respectively.
A range of nylon vulcanizing plasters has also been developed by Romac, primarily for use with the new electric type of repair mould.
Approximate cost of the vulcanizers is £195 for the 100-4A model and £625 for the 400-A model,
