A SLEEPER cab option for its longer-wheelbased 16and 24-ton models has been introduced by Mercedes-Benz.
One of the results of the 450km (280-mile) daily driving restriction, say Mercedes, is that operators are showing a greater interest in rigid vehicles for longhaul work.
Mercedes' M-type sleeper cab is available on 5.2m and 5.9m (17ft lin and 19ft 4in) wheelbase 1617 chassis and on the longest 4.8m (15ft 9in) 2419 models.
The sleeper-cab option reduces potential body length by 370mm {15in).
