• Family haulage firm JE Parker, in business in Stocksbridge near Sheffield since 1935, has gone into receivership. The company, which employed 10 and ran six wagons, chiefly hauled for local steel works.
Director Paul Parker says the business went under because of a slump in demand, poor haulage rates and high interest levels.
