will I be used in the eliminating rounds of the Lorry Driver of .the Year Competition. The first will involve parking at the kerb-side in three movements—forward, -reverse and forward—in a space 14 times the length of the vehicle. The second will be a test of the judgment of width. The driver will have to estimate the minimum distance between two pylons through • which his vehicle can pass and then drive through them both forward and in reverse.
'Both tests will involve a time element.
The eliminating round to be held at Birmingham on July 7 will begin at 9 a.m. at the Serpentine Ground, Aston Hall Road, Aston. Competitors will follow an eight-mile road route to the Dunlop works, where the manceuvring tests will be conducted.
