L'IRST Prize of £75 in competition I No. 4 of the drawing and handicraft competitions organized this year by the Institute of British Carriage and Automobile Manufacturers, and other organizations, has gone to Mr.. Cyril 1. Davies, 32 Mallard Way, London, N.W.9, for his design of a sihgle-deck body on an underfloor-engined chassis.
Second prize went to Mr. Herbert W. Guinn, 23 Tremlett Grove, London, N.I9, and third to Mr. C. P. Stephenson, 61 Greetwell Road, Lincoln. These three contestants have also been awarded the medal of the Worshipful Company of Coach Makers and Coach Harness Makers.
En competition No. 5, concerning the design of a 36-cwt, van, with a 300-cu.ft body based on a forward-control
chassis, Mr. E. C. Ball, 3 Windmill Street, Bushey Heath, has won first prize of £25, Mr. Howard G. Jeans, 12 Marcross Road, Ely, Cardiff, second prize, and Mr. Jack Leaver, 29 Kinnoull Causeway, Perth, third prize.
