Developing over 1.25 hp. the Super Stork Lar 23 is a power tool designed for scurfing, feather-edging, sanding, compounding and polishing. The tool runs at 1,800 rpm for polishing and sands at 3,400 rpm.
The casing of the Super Stork Lar 23 is of a thermoplastic material known as Durethan (R) B.K.V., a material claimed by the manufacturers to be "the first synthetic steel". This material has enabled the designer to build increased power into a machine of reduced weight; the machine weighs only 7.75 lb.
