OM OUR POLITICAL CORRESPONDENT
REGULATION increasing the permitted capacity of road petroleum tankers to 6,600 s. has been laid in Parliament. If there is no itained objection from MPs, the new limit will mme law during November.
The amendment lays down that the higher tit can apply provided tankers are divided into f-contained compartments each carrying not ire than 1,100 gals. The previous limit: 4,000 s. in compartments carrying not more than Vim.
