gadhesive that cures inside the joint but remains sufficiently soft outside the joint to be wiped off has been developed by Douglas Kane (Sealants) Ltd.
This characteristic results from the anaerobic nature of the adhesive. It is known as the Loctite Flexible Adhesive 309.
It is claimed that ihe adhesive provides a stronger structure than riveting and one that is less susceptible to vibration. Also, it affords a moisture resistant joint that will stand up to severe structural flexing and differential rates of expansion.
