APossibly in due course, but not for many
years yet? In fact it is unlikely that diesel engines will be produced in this form until the near-ultimate in design has been achieved and this possibility is of purely academic interest at the moment. On the other hand, if a gas turbine or rotary unit becomes a practical proposition it may well be produced as a throw-away unit after it has been proved in extended service.
