Scania owners brought their glides and offered drives to ther operators.
The Mayor of Wakefield, ouncillor Harry Clafton, was iken for a ride in the LB81 utomatic and said it was as comfortable as the Mayoral ar".
A spokesman for Camerons, 7ho have depots in Leeds and Barnsley, said: "The lorry men obviously want to drive the latest vehicles and see just what we can offer.
"Yorkshire is a major haulage region and this interest reflects the potential for Scania sales here."
Orders for four vehicles were placed on the spot.
