THE WEEK
If its a classic you're after, Look no further
THIS WEEK, Laurie Dealer has gone for a modem classic: a 1989-registered, 113M-360 Scania 3-series T-cab.
It's a left-hand-drive 4x2 with a sleeper and the DSC 11-litre four-stroke, direct-injection, turbo-charged engine, which produces 360hp and 1,490Nm torque. It has a fixed fifth wheel, a toolbox on the nearside, air horns and yellow lighting system on top of the cab.
The truck was built before the Euro emission rating system began, so it is pre-Euro-1.
Production of the 3-series ran from 1987 to 1995, and is widely seen as an iconic range of trucks. This particular truck is valued at £10,000 (plus VAT) by its vendor North Norfolk Vehicle Solutions.
During its pomp, the 11-litre driveline was a gutsy and economical truck.
Although the T-cab wasn't popular, it did find homes across the more arduous sectors such as logging, the vehicle recovery sector, low-loaders and as the front end of a rigid 6x4 tipper. • For more information, go to usedtrucks. conunercialmotor.com, contact North Norfolk Vehicle Solutions at nnvs.co.uk or call
