• NFC subsidiary Tankfreight has launched a 24-hour autoelectrical repair service for operators as part of its 'I'ankfix truck maintenance network.
As reported in Commercial Motor Workshop last month (November 1988), the division will employ 60 electricians at 16 workshops throughout the UK. It will trade as PJ Pres
ton, the Grimsby-based autoelectrical firm acquired by Tankfreight this year.
Preston boss Paul Preston will stay on as head of the new service, which will offer repair and maintenance, specialist conversions, factoring of products and fitting of ancillaries ranging from speed limiters to cab phones.
