A LARGE number of vehicles was PA exported by A.C.V. Sales; Ltd., last year. One of the bigger orders was for 50 A.E.C. Regal Mark IV vehicles for Adelaide Municipal Transport Trust. In addition, 50 single-decker chassis for West Bengal State Transport and 10
Mandator chassis were ordered by the Gal Oya Development Board of India.
The board are engaged in reclaiming land and the building of roads to enable heavy transport to deal with the produce from the area. The 10 Mandators will be shipped soon.
Large orders have also been received from Uruguay, Holland, South Africa. Pakistan, the Malay States, Iraq, Burma and Rhodesia.
Sales increased after the introduction of A.E.C. lightweight and mediumweight models at the Scottish Show. Scottish Omnibuses, Ltd., ordered 46 Monocoach vehicles and the Northern General Transport Co., Ltd., 25. Aldershot and District Traction Co., Ltd.. ordered 25 Reliance vehicles.
