1-3. A NEW ferry service between Hull and Rotterdam, starting about the autumn of 1965 with one vessel and offering three sailings per week in each direction. is planned by North Sea Ferries Ltd., 48 High Street, Hull
• (telephone 36650), The service will be increased to daily tailings when a second vessel is .delivered early in 1966.
The vessels are designed to carry all types of wheeled and tracked vehicles, and axle loadings up .to 20 tons per tandem can be accepted. The free height throughout the vessel is 4 m. (about 13 ft.). In addition the company is offering space for passenger cars accompanied by passengers, and expects to be able to carry 236 passengers in economy class accommodation. The berth in Hull will be in King George V Dock, and in Rotterdam at Beneluxhaven in the Europoort.
