Foden believes that the Caterpillar 3306-powered 5108 offers an excellent combination of performance, economy and light weight. In operator service these benefits have been proved. Since this vehicle was tested, the Caterpillar 3306 has been further developed and in 3306B form has air-to air charge-cooling. This improves both fuel economy and performance by a considerable margin. The latest Foden 4000 Series cab also addresses any cab complaints raised. And the 3306B engine is now available with a Jacobs engine brake.
