The General Electric Co., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, W.C.2, announces that it has placed on the market the Witton-Kramer magnetizer for re-magnetizing magnetos. It is equipped with adjustable pole-pieces, which can accommodate bar magnets up to 12 ins. in length, or horseshoe magnets of almost any size. The principal advantage is that this set can be used without the need for dismantling the magnetos. The instrument to be treated is placed in position and the current switched on ; this is the only attention which is required.
It is only possible to operate this set on direct current. Control is by means of a foot-operated switch; which leaves the operator free to use both hands. It has been found that five or six charging efforts are usually sufficient for complete re-magnetizing.
