A TORSION bar to aid the closing of PA heavy taildoors by one man is now offered as an optional extra on Edbro hydraulic tailboard loaders. The first unit to be fitted with a torsion bar by Edbro-B. and E. Tippers 1.td., Bolton, was mounted on a Guy Warrior with a Hi-Lift loader. Weight of the taildoor on the 30-cwt.-capacity hydraulic loader was 4 cwt.
The torsion bar is fitted close to the tailboard hinge and incorporates an arm which bears on the underside of the unit.
