THE Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport was asked in the House last week by Mr. Mander, whether he had any statement to make with reference to transport facilities in Wolverhampton, with particular reference to Guy Motors, Ltd.?
Mr. Noel-Baker replied that he was informed that there were no substant. tial transport difficulties at Wolverhampton, either generally or for the workers of Guy Motors, Ltd. This concern had, in fact, made a valuable contribution to the relief of the pressure on local transport services • by staggering its hours of work, and was now awaiting permission to extend its canteen 'facilities.
Mr. Mander asked if‘ it were a fact that the attitude of Guy Motors, Ltd., had been thoroughly helpful throughout and received a reply in the affirmative, Mr. Noel-Baker adding that he wished the same attitude towards staggering had been adopted everywhere.
