that season tickets on buses in the area will be rationed. The decision took effect on May I. Sir John stated that season tickets and contract tickets would, in future, be issued for a maximum period of validity of one calendar month and that they would be limited to one journey each way daily. Prices for new monthly tickets will be issued on a basis of fourfifths of the present monthly rate for tickets applicable to journeys for which the single fare is 6d. or less, and on one-third of the present •quarterly rate for tickets applicable to journeys for which the single fare is 7d, or more. Present 12-journey tickets will be maintained at the existing rates and scholars' and apprentices' tickets will be unchanged at existing rates.
