A SCHOLARSHIP scheme for 16. to 18 year olds has been introduced by Eastern BRS.
The Arthur Dexter Scholarship in Transport Management — it commemorates the investiture of Wisbech branch manager Arthur Dexter as an MBE — is open to young people who have a relative working for EBRS.
Initially, it will be confined to one trainee per year who will be on the EBRS payroll while undergoing a four-year business study course.
The course will have a transport management bias, with special emphasis on a traffic management, finance, marketing and personnel management.
