A MOBILE :trailer laboratory for rt testing the qualities of materials intended for roadmaking has been put into service by Monmouthshire Highways Department. When commercial analytical chemists were employed, three weeks' delay often occurred before results were made known. _Now, the trailer is taken from quarry to quarry to test materials as they leave.
The design of the body, which was built by Allbodies, Ltd., Hodges Row, Cardiff, follows a pattern evolved by the Road Research Laboratory, with improvements suggested by Mr. R. Cornish, county engineer and surveyor. Alfred Chaston, Ltd., Blackwood, supplied the chassis.
