A The current Road Haulage Wages
Council recommended rate of pay for the driver of a 5-10 tons carrying capacity vehicle outside the London area is £16.98 per week of 40 hours. If the carrying capacity of the vehicle is over 10 tons and up to 15 tons the rate is £17.35 per week.
Overtime is payable for time worked in excess of eight hours on any day Monday to Friday for a five-day-week worker. The rate payable for weekdays is time-and-a-half and work on Sundays is payable at double time..
