ances to be paid in future by the Milk Marketing Board was handicapping the long-term development of milk haulage by hauliers and distributors, Mr. J. Stonehouse (Lab., Wednesbury) said in the House of Commons last week. He asked the Minister of Agriculture for a review by the Board of rates paid for the bulk transport of milk from creameries to processing dairies. Mr. J. B. Godber, Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry, said that the Minister knew of no immediate need for a special review. The question of allowances lay between the Board and those concerned with transport.
